pi package · share artefacts · free

Share what Pi writes.

Pi writes the report, the plan, the mockup. Say "share it" and you get a link anyone can open. No deploy, no hosting.

pi install npm:pi-htmldoc

Free. Signs you in with GitHub on the first share, without leaving Pi.

ask pi
write a status report as HTML, then share ithttps://p.htmldoc.space/NO8JWj8cd57mlast published: https://p.htmldoc.space/NO8JWj8cd57m expires: 2026-11-12 (Pin to survive expiry)

Pi calls the htmldoc_publish tool and answers with the link and its expiry. Say "share it again" after edits and the same link shows the new version.

or share it yourself
/publish report.htmlhttps://p.htmldoc.space/NO8JWj8cd57m/publishupdated, same link

/publish <file> publishes without a model turn. /publish alone re-publishes the last file to the same link; --new makes a fresh one.

Made for Pi. Nothing to configure.

01One tool call

Ask to share, publish, or make a file shareable. The link comes back clickable in your terminal.

02Same link on re-share

Edit the file, say "share again", and the page updates in place. Nobody needs a new URL.

03Sign-in inside Pi

The first share shows a GitHub approval link and opens it in your browser. Approve once; Pi finishes the share.

04Last link in the footer

The status line shows what you published last and when it expires, with a nudge to pin it.

05Remembers every link

Links are kept with the session, so "share it again" hits the right page after you resume or branch.

06Your key stays out of the chat

The model never reads, types, or sees your API key. The approval link reaches you through Pi's UI.

#Questions

I already installed the htmldoc skill. Do I need this?

The generic skill works in Pi by running the CLI in a shell. This package gives Pi a native tool, sign-in inside Pi, /publish, and the footer link. The two load side by side; this package's skill tells the model to use the tool.

Does it work in print or JSON mode?

Yes, once you are signed in. Those modes have no UI for the approval link, so sign in once from a terminal with npx htmldoc-cli login. It shares the same key.

How do I keep a page longer than 30 days?

Pin it from your dashboard. A pinned page never expires, and re-sharing it keeps the pin. Everything else about updating is in the docs.
